Through the keyhole

Each month, we take a look at one reader’s office design. This month we’re in Norwich.

Having worked in corporate agency for a number of years, Lucy Carne knew exactly how she wanted the home of her own business, Reality Three, to look when she opened the doors two years ago. And this certainly wasn’t the garish peach chosen by the previous owners, who ran a nail bar.

Instead, bold colour is key to Carne’s design. She opted for a lime green logo and a colour-coded stock system, with properties displayed in plastic pockets on her main wall and coded pink for one-bedroom properties, orange for two beds, green for three-beds and blue for four-plus beds.

Carne’s budget was limited due to the recession, hence the black glass dining tables she bought to use as desks and the IKEA sofas for clients.

Four large plasma screens rotate stock in each of the main office windows.
